Freestyle Brake Booster Sensor Issue

I'm having a weird issue with my 2007 Ford Freestyle with a gasoline engine. I keep getting an error message in the speedometer, and the braking feels weak. It still stops, but I have to really stomp on the brake pedal. My diagnostic tool shows an error related to the brake booster pressure sensor. Could this be related to the brakes being bled incorrectly during a recent service? Anyone experienced something similar?

Sounds familiar! I had a similar problem with my Freestyle. Was the error message specifically mentioning the brake booster?

Yeah, the error code points directly to the brake booster pressure sensor. Was that the same for you? What did you end up doing about it?

Yes, that was it! I'd recommend taking it to a workshop to have it checked out properly. It is essential for vehicle safety, it could lead to a more serious issue.

Thanks for the advice! Took it to a workshop as you suggested. Turns out the brake booster pressure sensor was faulty indeed, likely due to the brake system being bled incorrectly previously. They replaced the sensor, and the braking is back to normal! Cost me about 90€ for the replacement part and labor. Really appreciate the help!
