A bad battery sensor? Hmm, I hadn't thought of that. How did you figure that out? Was it difficult to replace, or did you just bring it in?

With these symptoms, a defective battery sensor is a strong possibility. Considering the advanced diagnostics involved, like using a multimeter for conductance testing and examining the LIN bus communication, it might be best to consult with a certified technician. They can perform a parasitic draw test and pinpoint the issue with precision. I took mine to a local shop. Definitely worth it.

Thanks for the help! Took it to the shop as you suggested, and it was indeed the battery sensor. They replaced it, and all the issues are gone now. Cost me around 315€, but it's running great. Appreciate the tip!

Oh man, that sounds eerily familiar! I had almost the exact same problem with my Freestyle. Was getting the whole shebang: seemingly dead battery, funky error codes, the works. I'm wondering if it's a bad battery sensor? I had similar issues when mine was going bad.
