Frontier Automatic Temperature Control Issue

Having trouble with my 2008 Nissan Frontier diesel. The automatic temperature control isn't working, there's an error stored, and the AC won't switch on. Mileage is at 159111 km. Could a faulty interior temperature sensor be the problem? I've read it could be a cable or plug connection. Any ideas?

Hey! I have a Nissan Frontier too, though it's a bit older. I had similar climate issues last year. Does the error code point directly to the sensor? Have you checked the wiring around the sensor itself for any damage?

Thanks for the reply! I don't have the exact error code at hand, but I'm pretty sure it's related to the interior temperature sensor. Where is the sensor located, and what should I be looking for when checking the wiring?

Okay, that sounds really similar to what happened to me. I fiddled with it for an afternoon, but honestly, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. I ended up paying about 95€, and they sorted it out properly. It's likely a defective cable or plug.

Thanks a lot for the advice! Sounds like I'm heading to the workshop. At least I have an idea of what to expect. Will post the resolution once it's fixed!
