Fuel Flap Release Issue

My 2020 Ford F with a diesel engine is giving me grief. The fuel flap release isn't working. I'm getting an error stored, can't lock or unlock the fuel filler flap, and some other vehicle functions are unavailable. Linkage issue, maybe? Anyone seen this before?

Fuel flap issues, you say? I had something similar with my F. Was it completely unresponsive, like the key fob did nothing, and you couldn't even manually open the fuel door? Was there a cable release issue?

Yep, completely unresponsive. The key fob's useless for the flap, and there's no manual release that I can find. Cable release… that's what I'm suspecting. So, your 'similar issue' – was it the same symptoms?

Dead on. Same symptoms, exactly. Ended up being a defective linkage. Cost me 210€ at the workshop. Honestly, I'd just take it in. Saved me the headache.
