Fuel Level Sensor Fault

Wiring harness, you say? I only checked under the hood. Where exactly should I be looking for this harness? Is it easily accessible?

On my Megane, it ran along the underside of the car, near the fuel tank. Wouldn't say it's 'easily' accessible, but you can get to it with the car jacked up. Honestly, if you're not comfortable crawling under the car, I would suggest taking it to a workshop. Fuel systems can be tricky.

Thanks for the advice. I ended up taking it to a shop. Turned out to be a faulty sensor, as suspected. Repair cost was 52€. Appreciate the help!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my old Renault Megane. Same symptoms: check engine light, stalling. Fuel level sensor error, too. Did you check the wiring harness leading to the fuel tank? Sometimes corrosion or damage there can cause weird readings.
