Fuga door contact signal failure

My 2010 Nissan Fuga hybrid, with 21623 km mileage, has a door contact signal failure. The door can no longer be locked or unlocked. Root cause analysis points to a defective cable or plug connection. Any insights?

Interesting. Is this affecting all doors, or just one? Have you checked the wiring harness where it enters the door frame? Those areas are notorious for fatigue and breakage, causing intermittent or complete signal loss. Also, have you scanned the car for any error codes related to the door latch or car alarm system?

It's only the driver's side door. I've visually inspected the wiring harness at the door frame, but didn't see anything obvious. Are there specific points within the harness I should focus on, or tests I can perform without specialized tools?

Given it's isolated to a single door and visual inspection yielded nothing, the break might be internal to the harness or within the door latch mechanism itself. Further diagnostics would require a multimeter to check for continuity and voltage. Given your description, a visit to a workshop might be the most efficient approach to avoid further complications.

Confirmed, the issue was indeed a broken wire within the door harness, as suspected. Repair cost 95€. Thanks for the advice.
