Fullback transmission issues
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Fiat Fullback with a diesel engine is experiencing transmission issues, indicated by warning lights and the vehicle being stuck in emergency mode. The problem is accompanied by slipping, grinding noises, and an error code related to radiator oil pressure. Potential causes include a defective cable or plug connection, issues with the cooling system, or a faulty pressure sensor. It is suggested to have the vehicle inspected by a professional to avoid further complications.

Interesting... I gave the coolant level a quick glance, seemed okay, but I didn't really dig into the cooling fan or pressure sensor specifically. Where is the pressure sensor located? Is it easy to get to without taking half the engine apart? I'm trying to get a better handle on things before I start tearing into it.

Honestly, finding that sensor can be a pain, and without proper tools or experience, you could make things worse. Given all those symptoms and the error code, plus that you're not totally comfortable diving in, I'd seriously consider taking it to a workshop. It might save you a headache. Could be something electrical, or something more. What do I know...

Yeah, you're probably right. I was hoping it would be a simple fix, but I don't want to risk making it worse. I'll book it in at the workshop. They reckon it is the cable or plug connection and will cost me around 95€. Thanks for the advice!

FULLBACK

Sounds familiar. I've got a Fullback too, a bit older though. Had similar symptoms not too long ago – the lights, the weird shifting, the whole thing. Did you check the cooling fan? I'm wondering if the radiator coolant level is fine and the pressure sensor is working properly. Could be something with the cooling system itself messing with the oil pressure reading. Just a thought.
