Hey, thanks for your message - sounds pretty similar. Do you remember what you had to pay for the repair back then? And have you had any more problems since then, or was it all sorted with the new control unit? Thanks for your help, really great!

Hey, that's what we're here for, to help each other! The repair cost me €1000 at the time. A lot of money, yes, but since then the problem with the multifunction steering wheel has been fixed - that was a relief, I can tell you! So changing the control unit definitely helped. Since I've been to the mechanic, the problem with the steering wheel has been solved. Hope you have the same luck. Let me know how it goes!

Hey, thanks for the feedback and the important tip. It's a considerable amount of money, but if it helps, it's worth it. So I will go to the mechanic as soon as possible and have the control unit checked. Hopefully I can then find a permanent solution. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks again for your help!

Hi, I can understand your problem. They had a similar scenario with my 2009 Toyota Corolla Verso. In my case it was the control unit that was faulty that caused the same symptoms. The buttons on the steering wheel were intermittent and sometimes didn't respond at all. The repair wasn't too big a job, but serious enough that I had it done in the workshop. They had to remove the old control unit and fit a new one. Of course, that took some time. Maybe you have a similar problem. It's best to have it checked by a professional. Good luck with that!
