Fusion Door Lock Failure

It's all the doors, which makes me think it's not just one bad sensor. What exactly do you mean by 'defective wire'? Where should I be looking?

Yeah, doors acting up together points to something more central. By defective wire, I mean the wiring harness that connects the door latch (the part that physically locks the door) and the door sensor to the car's computer. Check for broken or frayed wires where they go into the door. Honestly, though, electrical stuff can be tricky. Might be worth getting it checked by a workshop.

Thanks! That's helpful. Took it to the shop – turns out it was a faulty connection in the door wiring harness, just like you said. Cost me 95€ to get it sorted. Appreciate the advice!

Sounds like a faulty door contact signal. Had something similar happen with my old Opel Astra. Is it all doors, or just one? Could be a defective wire or a loose connection. Basically, the car doesn't know the door status.
