Fusion Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor
Summary of the thread
The 2015 Ford Fusion gasoline engine was stalling at idle, and a check engine light indicated an issue with the fuel rail pressure sensor signal. The problem was suspected to be related to the fuel rail pressure sensor. After consulting with a mechanic, it was confirmed that the sensor was defective. Replacing the sensor resolved the stalling issue, and the vehicle is now running smoothly.

Thanks! Where was the fuel filter in your Astra? I'll check mine. Did the symptoms disappear after replacing the filter? Or did you replace more components?

It turned out to be a faulty pressure sensor in the end, even though they initially suspected other things. The fuel filter was fine. It was best to take it to the workshop. They diagnosed it properly and sorted it out quickly.

The mechanic confirmed it was a defective fuel rail pressure sensor. A new sensor cost 240€, and now it's running great. Thanks for the advice!

I had a similar issue with my old Opel Astra diesel: check engine light, stalling. The mechanic said the fuel system was finicky. Could it be a clogged fuel filter or something affecting the fuel pressure regulator?
