Fusion Headlight Range Control Fault

Anyone seen headlight range control issues on a 2008 Ford Fusion with a gasoline engine? Error memory has a fault, warning light's on, and the low beams are misaligned. Thinking it might be the servomotor.

Headache, for sure. 91749 km on the clock, eh? Servomotor is often the culprit. Are your headlights the adaptive type that swivel? If so, that motor is even more likely. Tried manually adjusting the beam with the knobs on the headlight assembly? Any difference, or does the motor fight you?

They're adaptive headlights. Manual adjustment with the knobs doesn't work; the servomotor overrides and readjusts the beam incorrectly. Would a reset fix it, or is it more complex?

If manual adjustment isn't working and the motor's fighting you, a reset won't cut it. Sounds like the servomotor is toast. Given the adaptive headlights, it's complex. You could try yourself, but without the right tools, you're chasing ghosts. Don't want to mess with the lighting and blind drivers. Better to have a professional sort it?

Took it to a workshop. Diagnosis confirmed a defective servomotor. Total repair cost was 1040€. Thanks for the guidance!
