Fusion low brake fluid spongy pedal
Summary of the thread
A 2005 Ford Fusion owner reported low brake fluid and a spongy brake pedal, suspecting worn brakes as the cause. Despite no visible leaks around the master cylinder or brake lines, the issue persisted. It was advised to consult a workshop, where worn brakes were confirmed and subsequently repaired, resolving the problem.

No visible leaks that I can see. Brake lines seem fine. Master cylinder looks okay, but hard to be certain. Any other thoughts?

If you're not seeing any leaks, and you're still experiencing a spongy pedal, my strong advice would be to take it to a workshop. Worn brakes are likely to blame, and if left untreated, you risk compromising the entire hydraulic system. Is it worth it?

Thanks for the advice. Appreciated. I went to the shop and they confirmed worn brakes. Cost me 480€, but all sorted now.

Low brake fluid AND pedal feedback? I had a similar experience with my Fusion. First things first: are you seeing any visible leaks around the master cylinder or any of the brake lines?
