Active hood fault and airbag light That's rough I had something similar happen on my old Volvo with the same symptoms and lights It turned out to be a faulty acceleration sensor The active hood system is designed to pop the hood up in a pedestrian collision to create space and reduce impact forces Car electronics are sensitive so a bad sensor can trigger odd behavior Is your error code pointing towards a specific sensor

The code points towards the acceleration sensor for the active hood Can I check that myself or do I need to go to a workshop

If the spring actuators are already triggered you're probably looking at a shop visit The system fault needs to be properly reset and the sensor replaced In my case the faulty sensor also messed with other things It's all tied into the car's central safety system I’d get it checked out soon

Thanks for the insight I booked it in It was indeed the acceleration sensor The new sensor and reset cost 315€ It's all good now
