G Klasse key battery issue
Summary of the thread
A 2007 Mercedes G Klasse owner experienced a 'key battery low' warning, leading to unreliable keyless entry and an error code. The issue was suspected to be a dead key battery. Another owner confirmed similar experiences and suggested replacing the battery, which is typically a CR2025 or CR2032. The original owner replaced the battery themselves, resolving the issue.

Thanks for the quick reply. Did you replace the battery yourself, or did you take it somewhere? Is there a specific battery type I should get?

I replaced it myself, it was very easy. I just popped open the key fob and swapped the battery. It's usually a CR2025 or CR2032, but double-check your key to be sure. If you aren't comfortable doing that, a local workshop will do it quickly.

Much appreciated. I got a new battery and did the replacement myself. Problem solved. It cost me 37€. Thanks for the advice!

Yep, same thing happened with my G Klasse. Key battery low warning, then the key fob stopped working properly. It's almost certainly just the battery. Simple fix!
