Thanks for the quick response When you say faulty sensor, are we talking about the temperature sensor that controls the fan And when you checked the electric fan relay and fuses, was it obvious they were bad, or did you have to test them with a multimeter Just trying to narrow down the possibilities before I start throwing parts at it

Yep, I meant the temperature sensor specifically When I checked the relay and fuses, one of the fuses was visibly blown The electric fan was completely dead in my case If yours is intermittent, it might be trickier I would definitely recommend taking it to a workshop, unless you have experience with electrical troubleshooting

Turns out it WAS a corroded connector on the electric fan harness, just like I initially suspected Cleaned it up, applied some dielectric grease, and everything's back to normal No more vehicle overheating Thanks for the tip about the relay and fuses; it helped me focus my troubleshooting Repair was 95€ as expected Appreciate the help

Sounds familiar I had a similar issue with my G Klasse Overheating is no joke Is the electric fan completely dead, or does it sometimes work Could be a faulty sensor sending incorrect data Start by checking the electric fan relay and the fuses That's where I began looking If the fan clutch is gone or if the electric motor is failing, the vehicle overheating will continue That may affect the cooling system too I hope that helps
