G6 cruise control error
Summary of the thread
The cruise control on a 2009 Ford G6 stopped working, displaying an error message on the speedometer. The issue was suspected to be a faulty connection, cable, or plug. A similar problem was resolved by addressing a defective connection within the steering wheel column. The solution involved replacing the cable and plug, which restored the cruise control functionality.

Interesting! I hadn't really thought about that. I'll pay closer attention next time I'm driving. What exactly happened with yours? Was it the same symptoms, and what did it turn out to be?

Yes, same symptoms. I'd get the error message intermittently, especially when turning the wheel. Turned out to be a faulty connection within the steering wheel column. I'd advise getting it checked out at a workshop; they'll be able to diagnose it properly.

Thanks for the info! I took it to a local mechanic, and you were spot on – it was indeed a defective cable in the steering wheel. They replaced the cable and plug; cost me 95€. Cruise control is now working like a charm again!

I had a similar issue with my G6. Does the problem seem to be affected by the steering wheel position at all?
