G6 Handsfree System Failure
Summary of the thread
The hands-free system in a 2009 Ford G6 is non-functional, with Bluetooth telephony completely dead. The error memory indicates a fault in the infotainment system. Despite attempts to fix it by adjusting volume, re-pairing the phone, and using speech recognition, the issue persists. A similar experience suggests that the problem is likely due to a defective infotainment system, requiring a visit to a workshop for repair.

Ambient noise? I hadn't paid attention, but there WAS a weird static-y sound coming through the speakers for a bit before it totally died. Was that your experience too? What did you end up doing?

Yep, static sound is what I meant. Pretty sure it's a busted infotainment system. You will have to visit a workshop for that.

Thanks, that confirms my worst fears! I took it to the workshop; you were spot on – defective infotainment system, and it set me back 815€ Appreciate the insight!

Sounds familiar! I have a G6 too. Was the ambient noise suddenly off?
