No oil sludge or leaks. I've used the manufacturer-recommended oil. Never looked into oil additives. Did additives solve your problem? Is it likely engine damage?

Oil additives didn't solve it for me, the issue came back. Don't take chances. The oil pressure light is serious. Based on my experience and potential engine damage, take your G6 to a workshop. It cost me around 165€.

Thanks for the advice. I'll book a workshop appointment ASAP. The exceeded maintenance interval was confirmed after inspection, I will let you know the outcome!

I have the same G6 and had a similar issue recently. The oil pressure light is a concern. Any oil sludge or leaks? What oil are you using, and have you thought about oil additives?
