G6 oxygen sensor issue
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Ford G6 is experiencing a check engine light related to an oxygen sensor issue, accompanied by increased fuel consumption. The problem could be due to a defective cable or plug connection. Despite a visual inspection, the error persists, suggesting the need for professional diagnosis to determine if the sensor itself or another factor affecting the air-fuel ratio is at fault. Seeking workshop assistance is recommended for accurate diagnosis and resolution.

Yeah, the error reappears after clearing it. I visually inspected the connections, but didn't do any electrical testing. You think it's the sensor itself then?

Could be the sensor, could be something else messing with the air-fuel ratio. Given the error and fuel consumption, and that you've checked the connections, probably best to get it properly diagnosed. It ended up costing me 95€ at the workshop.

Alright, thanks for the advice. I'll take it to the workshop and have them check the oxygen sensor and connections. Hopefully, it's a simple fix.

Sounds familiar. I've got a G6 too. Is the error consistently showing up? Maybe it's just a faulty reading. Have you checked the sensor's connections?
