Galaxy ABS Fault

Hey, I've got a 2022 Ford Galaxy hybrid. The lateral acceleration sensor is triggering the ABS lamp, causing the ABS to fail. Diagnostic scans confirm the error. Anyone else seen this? I've checked wheel alignment and tire pressures.

I have a Galaxy, though it's an older model. Sounds like an electronic stability issue. Could be the control unit. Have you checked the wiring harness to the sensor? A loose connection can cause intermittent faults.

Thanks! I'll check the wiring harness. When you had a similar issue, did the error code point to the lateral acceleration sensor? Anything else stand out during troubleshooting? Trying to narrow things down before I take it in.

Yes, the error pointed to that sensor, and it was the control unit itself. I spent hours checking connections and fuses, only to find out that the unit needed replacing. I had to take it to a workshop. They confirmed the defective control unit. I suggest you do the same.

Thanks for the insight! I brought it to the shop - the control unit was defective. Replacement and recalibration of the electronic stability system cost 1000€. Thanks again; you saved me a lot of time.
