Galaxy AC and Temperature Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Ford Galaxy is experiencing issues with a defective temperature sensor in the heat exchanger, leading to an error message on the speedometer and a non-functional air conditioning system. The problem might be linked to a defective AC control unit. A similar case suggested that the HVAC system could be affected, and consulting a qualified technician is recommended for diagnosis and repair.

Did you also receive an error message and have the air conditioning system fail simultaneously with the temperature sensor issue? I'm trying to see if these symptoms are commonly linked.

Yes, exactly. Error message, no AC, and the garage mentioned something about the HVAC system being affected. I'd recommend getting it checked by a workshop; could save you a headache.

Thanks. It seems prudent to consult a qualified technician. The estimated repair cost is approximately 980€, which seems considerable. I will proceed accordingly.

I had something similar with my Ford Galaxy. Not sure about the year, but the symptoms sound familiar. Is the engine cooling acting up too? Could be a coolant leak messing with the temperature gauge.
