Galaxy electronic parking brake failure

Interesting! Now that you mention it, there was a faint grinding noise just before it gave up completely. Did replacing the calliper motor sort it out, or was there more to it? What else could cause this? I don't wanna go down the rabbit hole chasing ghosts.

Yep, the grinding noise is a classic sign! For me, it was definitely the electric motor in the calliper. Replacing it solved the problem instantly. Honestly, I'd recommend getting it checked out by a workshop, especially with all those error codes. They can pinpoint the issue and confirm it's the motor before you spend any money. It's a pretty common problem with these electronic parking brakes, apparently.

Appreciate the heads-up. Sounds like I'm heading to the workshop. Based on your experience, I'll tell them to focus on the calliper motor and hopefully get this sorted quickly. The workshop confirmed that the electric motor in the brake calliper was defective and replaced for 505€.

I've got a Galaxy too, and I had something similar happen a while back. The electronic parking brake went bonkers, and the dashboard lit up. Did you notice any weird noises from the rear when you tried to engage or disengage the brake? For me, it sounded like a dying robot.
