Galaxy fog sensor issues

I've got a 2023 Ford Galaxy hybrid with about 182k km on the clock. Recently, I've been getting some weird errors related to what I suspect is the fog sensor. The error memory is storing a fault, and it seems to be affecting other systems too. The air conditioning won't switch on, which is a pain, and I've even noticed the spray nozzles are frozen when it's cold, and the mirror heating doesn't work either. I've checked the basics like fuses, but I'm not sure where to go from here. Anyone experienced anything similar?

Whoa, that's a crazy combo of issues! Sounds like more than just a foggy windshield. Have you checked the wiring and connections to the sensor itself? Could be a dodgy plug causing all sorts of mayhem.

Yeah, it is a bit of a mess! Where exactly is the fog sensor located, and how easy is it to get to the cable and plug? I'm not the most mechanically gifted, so I don't want to start ripping things apart if it's a complicated job.

Okay, so I had a similar thing happen in my old Mondeo; a friend who works on Fords said it's often a loose or corroded connection. If you aren't sure, I'd get it to a workshop quick, before more damage happens. It could be a cheap fix, like a faulty cable.

Thanks! I appreciate the advice. Took it to the workshop, and you were spot on – it was a defective cable/plug connection to the fog sensor. Cost me 95€ to get it sorted. Everything's working perfectly again!
