Galaxy fuel flap release failure

Hi, I've got a 2017 Ford Galaxy with a gasoline engine. The fuel flap release has stopped working. The error memory is showing an error, and I can no longer lock or unlock the fuel filler flap. Plus, some other car functions are unavailable. I've checked the release button and fuses, but everything seems fine. Anyone experienced something similar?

I had something similar with my Galaxy. Is it making any noise when you press the release button? Could be the electric actuator failing. Or perhaps a stuck fuel door lock actuator?

Thanks for the reply! No noise at all when I press the release button. Where is the electric actuator located? Is it easy to get to, or is it buried deep?

Yeah, sounds like the same issue I had. I wouldn't start pulling things apart yourself. From what I remember, it's not easily accessible. Just take it to a workshop, they'll sort it out.

Okay, thanks for confirming. I'll take it to a workshop and have them check the electric actuator and linkage. The repair cost was 210€. Apparently, the linkage was defective.
