Galaxy Intermittent Starting Stalling
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Ford Galaxy diesel is experiencing intermittent starting issues, stalling at idle, a check engine light, and rough running. The initial suspicion is a problem with the fuel pump or its connection. After inspecting the fuel filter and finding it satisfactory, the issue was resolved by replacing the fuel pump cable, suggesting a connection problem was the cause.

I did inspect the fuel filter, and it appeared to be in satisfactory condition. Could you elaborate on the specifics of the issue you encountered with your Galaxy, and any troubleshooting steps you performed?

After the fuel filter, I was scratching my head. Symptoms were almost exactly the same. I poked around a bit, but honestly, I'm no mechanic. Ended up taking it to a workshop, and they sorted it pretty quick. Best bet is probably to just get it checked by someone who knows what they're doing.

I appreciate your insight. I will take my Galaxy to a qualified workshop. Replacing the fuel pump cable for 95€ seems to have resolved the issue. Thanks!

I've got a Galaxy too. Sounds like what I went through last year: engine dying at idle, check engine light, the whole nine yards. Did you check the fuel filter?
