Galaxy Power Window Failure

My 2019 Ford Galaxy with a gasoline engine is giving me fits. I replaced the battery, and now the power windows are completely dead. The dashboard is lighting up with an error. Anyone else experience this after a battery swap? I'm fearing car electronics are the problem. Any hints before I tear apart the door panel looking for broken window controls?

Sounds frustrating. I had something similar happen with my Galaxy (don't remember what year). Did you try any basic resets with the window switch itself? Sometimes they need to be re-initialized after power loss. Maybe it is a similar power window problem. Have you checked the car electronics too?

Hmm, resets with the window switch... Interesting. How exactly do you do that? Hold the button down for a certain amount of time, or is there some secret Ford ritual involved? Just want to clarify before breaking something!

Yeah, pretty much. I vaguely remember holding the window controls in both directions, up and down, for a few seconds each. But honestly, it didn't work for me. In the end, I caved and took it to the shop. Turned out the window regulator needed some kind of computer reset. Probably best to have a professional look at it, you know? Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

No worries, I appreciate the input! Sounds like I'm heading to the shop then. At least now I have an idea of what to expect. Thanks for confirming I'm not completely crazy! They solved the problem, the window regulator needed re-initialization. The repair cost was 290€.
