Galaxy PTC Heater Fault

I have a problem with my 2008 Ford Galaxy diesel. It has 150466 km. I think the PTC heater is faulty. I have poor engine running in the cold start phase, an error stored, and higher fuel consumption. I suspect the electric auxiliary heater. Has anyone had similar issues?

I also have a Galaxy. Sounds like what happened to me. Check your HVAC system, especially the heating element. Is it blowing cold air when it should be warm?

Yes, you're right. The air is colder than it should be, especially at the beginning. After a while, it gets a bit warmer. But the engine runs rough in the meantime. Did you have the same symptoms?

Exactly the same symptoms. Error messages, rough running when cold, higher fuel consumption, cold air. It was indeed the auxiliary heater. I'd suggest having it checked out by a workshop. The repair cost me about 350€.

Thank you very much for your help! It seems like I'll have to go to the workshop as well. I was hoping it was something else, but your description is spot on. I appreciate your help!
