Galaxy Radar Sensor Error

I'm experiencing an issue with my 2002 Ford Galaxy diesel. At 158110 km, I'm getting a radar sensor error message and warning light. The error memory confirms a radar sensor malfunction, which seems to be causing failures in other systems. Has anyone encountered something similar? Could it simply be a dirty sensor?

Hey, I had a similar problem with my old Opel a while back. Same symptoms, error messages and all. Turned out to be a sensor issue too.

Interesting. Was it also a radar sensor? Did you resolve it yourself, or did you need a workshop? I'm wondering if it's something I can tackle myself.

Nah, wasn't a radar sensor specifically, but some other sensor for the safety systems. I'd say just take it to a workshop. They'll diagnose it properly and save you time and hassle.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a local workshop, and you were spot on. Turns out the radar sensor was indeed dirty. They cleaned it, recalibrated everything, and now it's working perfectly. Total cost was 45€.
