Galaxy speed signal fault

I've got a 2017 Ford Galaxy with a gasoline engine and I'm experiencing some speed signal fault. The ABS lamp lights up, I'm getting traction problems, and the ABS system fails. I've run some basic diagnostics but can’t pinpoint the exact cause. Mileage is at 158412 km. Any ideas?

Sounds familiar! Had something similar happen with my old Opel Insignia. ABS light, traction control going nuts... Did you check the transmission speed sensors? On the Opel, that was causing similar havoc. What codes are you pulling up?

I haven't specifically checked the transmission speed sensors yet. I'll add that to the list. Which error codes did you have on your Opel?

If I recall correctly, it was something along the lines of 'incorrect speed signal from transmission' and another one pointing towards a general ABS malfunction. Turned out to be a faulty control unit in the end, fried. Best get it to a workshop for proper diagnosis. Cost me a fortune back then.

I appreciate the help. Took it to the shop, and you were spot on: affected control unit defective. They quoted around 1000€ for the repair. Going ahead with it.
