Summary of the thread
A 2001 Hyundai Galloper with a diesel engine is experiencing a check engine light, reduced power, sluggish acceleration, and increased fuel consumption. The OBD2 scan indicates a "Crankshaft to Camshaft Reference Value" error, suggesting a potential issue with the crank sensor. Interesting. So, was it definitely the crank sensor on your Opel, and did you have the same error code? Was it difficult to diagnose?

Yeah, replacing the crank sensor fixed it. The garage confirmed the diagnosis. Honestly, unless you have the right tools and know-how, I'd suggest getting it checked at a workshop. A faulty cam sensor could cause the same issues.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to my local garage, and you were spot on. It was indeed the crank sensor. They replaced it, and the engine's running smoothly again. Cost me 340€ all in. Much appreciated!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue on my old Opel astra. Check engine light, reduced power, and it turned out to be a faulty crank sensor. It messes with the engine synchronization.
