Galloper outside temperature sensor issue
Summary of the thread
A 2003 Hyundai Galloper diesel is experiencing issues with the outside temperature sensor, leading to an error code, non-functional AC, freezing windshield washer nozzles, and malfunctioning mirror heating. The problem is suspected to be due to a bad cable or plug connection to the sensor. A similar issue was resolved by addressing a faulty sensor and a corroded connector, suggesting that professional inspection and repair are effective solutions.

Yeah, the temperature reading is totally off. It's showing something ridiculous like -30 degrees Celsius even when it's clearly above freezing. Did you manage to fix it yourself, or did you take it to a shop? Any idea what it cost you?

I ended up taking it to a workshop. Honestly, I'm not great with electrical stuff. They told me it was the sensor and a corroded connector. Best to get it checked by a professional.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a local shop, and you were spot on! It was indeed the outside temperature sensor and a corroded connector. The whole repair cost me 95€. Everything's working perfectly now – AC, mirror heating, and no more frozen washer nozzles!

Whoa, that sounds like a mess! I had something similar happen with my Hyundai Santa Fe. Is the temperature reading on your dashboard completely off too? Mine was stuck at -40, which made everything go haywire.
