Getz Engine Stalling After Fuel Filter Change
Summary of the thread
After changing the fuel filter in a 2004 Hyundai Getz, issues such as engine stalling at idle, reduced power, and the check engine light appearing were observed. These symptoms were suspected to be caused by a defective fuel pressure regulator. Upon replacing the fuel pressure regulator, the problems were resolved, confirming it as the source of the issue.

Thanks for the tip! Where is the fuel pump relay located, and how did you diagnose that?

Honestly, I'm not entirely sure where it is in the Getz. I fiddled with it a bit, and the problem disappeared for a while. Then it came back, and that's when I took it to a workshop. They identified the regulator pretty quickly. Could be worth checking that first to avoid unnecessary expenses.

It was indeed the fuel pressure regulator! Replaced it for 45€ and everything's running smoothly again. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

Hey, I had similar issues with my Getz. Rough idle and reduced power, plus the engine light. Did you check the pressure sensor? For me, it turned out to be a faulty fuel pump relay. Might be worth a look!
