Gienia auto transmission torque converter issue
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Honda Gienia is experiencing auto transmission issues, with symptoms including slipping gears, unclean shifts, and grinding noises. The check engine and transmission indicators are on, and a diagnostic scan points to a defective torque converter lock-up clutch. The problem is likely due to a faulty automatic transmission converter, and repair at a workshop is recommended, though it may be costly.

Yeah, the gearbox definitely slips at times. It feels like it's not engaging properly, especially going uphill. Was that also your experience?

Yep, sounds like the converter fault. Get it checked at a workshop. The repair cost can be significant.

Thanks for the confirmation! I took it to a shop, and you were right, it was the torque converter. Cost me around 2120€ to get it sorted.

I had similar symptoms on my Gienia. Same auto transmission problems. Was your gearbox slipping?
