Gienia Charge Air Temperature Sensor Error
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Honda Gienia experienced a charge air temperature sensor error at 129,466 km, leading to a check engine light, reduced power, and a whistling noise that escalated to a loud hissing during acceleration. The issue was suspected to be related to the sensor's cable or plug. A workshop diagnosed the problem as a defective sensor due to a corroded connector, and replacing it resolved the issue.

Could you tell me more about your issue? Was the error code also related to the air intake system, maybe an air temperature sensor, or something else? Any details on how you fixed it would be great.

Honestly, I'm not super tech-savvy, so I didn't do any troubleshooting myself. Just took it straight to a workshop. They said something about a faulty sensor near the air filter box messing with the air/fuel mixture. The hissing was a leak. If you are getting a sensor error too, I would recommend taking it to a professional. Don't want to cause any damage. It was better to let them handle it.

Thanks, that's helpful. I took my Gienia to a workshop. They found a defective charge air temperature sensor, with the problem being a corroded connector. Replacement and labor cost 95€. Problem solved. Thanks again!

Hey, I had something like that happen in my Gienia too. Check engine light, weird noises... definitely sounds familiar. Was the hissing kind of around the air intake? I remember when mine went, it felt like I was driving with the parking brake on. Though mine wasn't a temperature sensor specifically, could be related somehow.
