Could you elaborate on the brake switch issue you encountered? What error codes were there, and were there any other symptoms alongside the parking brake malfunction? I'm trying to narrow things down before repairs.

Honestly, I didn't dive into the technical details myself. I just remember the workshop mentioning something about the brake switch affecting the entire EPB system. Considering all your symptoms, though, it might be more than just a simple switch issue. I would recommend professional diagnostics before replacing parts randomly.

I appreciate the advice. I took it to my trusted workshop and they confirmed the electric motor in the brake calliper is indeed defective, which aligns with my initial suspicion. The quoted repair cost is approximately 505€.

I have the same model, and your symptoms do sound familiar. I also had issues with the electronic parking brake - warning lights and all. Did you check the brake switch? It might be a system glitch related to that.
