Thank you for your response. I did not notice any unusual AC noise prior to the failure. Can you elaborate on the AC relay check? Where is it located, and what am I looking for?

Yeah, the relay is usually in the engine compartment's fuse box – check your owner's manual for the exact location. If it's not that, and given you suspect the valves, it's probably best to take it to a workshop for proper AC efficiency testing. My issue ended up being something similar, and the repair cost a pretty penny.

Whoa, sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my GLA's cooling system last summer. Drove me nuts! Any weird AC noise before it quit? Have you checked the AC relay? That's an easy one to rule out.
