Thanks for the reply. Can you explain more about checking the brake switch? Where is it, and what should I look for? I'm not experienced with car repairs, but I will try before going to a mechanic.

The brake switch is usually near the brake pedal assembly. However, since the error relates to the electronic parking brake, the switch is probably not the cause. I think you should have a technician assess the vehicle. Driving with a compromised electronic brake system could be risky.

Thanks for the advice. The shop confirmed it was the electric motor in the brake calliper. It cost 505€ to repair, but the electronic brake is working again. I appreciate the help.

I understand your concern. I had a similar issue with my GLA. The symptoms you describe match my experience. In my case, the problem was a defective electric motor within the brake calliper assembly.
