GLA engine sensor issue
Summary of the thread
A Mercedes GLA hybrid displayed a warning light for oil temperature, and diagnostics indicated a faulty engine oil temperature sensor. The issue was suspected to be related to a cable or plug. After further investigation, it was confirmed that the problem was indeed a defective cable connected to the engine oil temperature sensor, which was subsequently fixed.

What was the fix? Was it really the car sensor? I'm hoping it's not too expensive to sort.

Yeah, it ended up being a dodgy engine sensor. If the car diagnostics already pointed to that, and you are seeing the oil pressure light too, it's highly likely. I’d recommend taking it to a workshop, they’ll confirm it for sure. Better safe than sorry!

Turns out it was indeed the engine oil temperature sensor. Cable was defective. Fixed it for 95€. Thanks for the help!

Oh man, that sounds familiar! I've got a GLA too, and I had a similar thing happen a while back. Seriously frustrating! The oil pressure warning lamp kept lighting up, and the error memory was storing a fault. I was so worried. Could be the automotive sensor acting up. I hope it is not too serious!
