GLA Hybrid Brake Issue Resolved
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Mercedes GLA hybrid exhibited a brake system warning light, low brake fluid, and a spongy brake pedal. Despite checking for leaks, none were found, leading to a suspicion of worn brakes due to the vehicle's mileage. A workshop inspection confirmed that worn brake pads were the cause, and the issue was resolved by replacing the pads and brake fluid.

Thanks for the reply. I haven't had a brake inspection recently. When you had a similar experience, was it also due to worn brakes, or could there be other causes?

In my case, it was worn brake pads. Considering the symptoms and the mileage on your vehicle, it's likely. I'd recommend taking it to a workshop for a brake inspection.

I took the vehicle to a workshop for a brake inspection. The worn brakes were the cause, like you thought. The total repair cost, including new pads and fluid, was about 480€. Thanks again for your help!

A spongy brake pedal and low brake fluid often mean there are hydraulic brakes system issues. I drive a GLA and had a similar experience.
