GLA Hybrid ventilation problem
Summary of the thread
A 2023 GLA Hybrid is experiencing a ventilation malfunction, specifically with the defrost air distribution flap, leading to reduced heating and fogging. The issue is suspected to be due to a defective cable or plug. Suggestions include checking the fuses related to the air distribution system, as a faulty connection can affect air distribution even if the blower motor works at all speeds. Ultimately, a technician's diagnosis confirmed a faulty cable connection as the cause.

Thanks I haven't checked the fuses directly, trusting the vehicle's system I will check them as you suggest The blower motor seems to work at all speeds Is there a specific fuse location to check first, or should I check all ventilation fuses

Since the blower motor works at all speeds, its main fuse is probably fine I'd check fuses for the air distribution system itself, if your car's diagram shows them My Volvo was similar the blower worked, but air wasn't directed right Think of it like a train the blower is running, but the track switch air distribution flap is broken My repair needed a technician to fix the wiring Based on your error code, a technician should check the cable or plug connection like you thought

I appreciate the help The train track analogy was great I'm taking it to a workshop for diagnosis and repair The workshop confirmed it was a faulty cable connection Thanks again

That sounds familiar My 2018 Volvo XC60 had a similar climate control issue It was a faulty connection affecting air distribution It was like trying to cool a room with a window open Have you checked the fuses A blown fuse can mimic a bigger problem Is the blower motor working at all speeds
