I did a quick visual inspection, but didn't see anything obvious. Where exactly is the oil sensor located, and is it easily accessible? Were your symptoms identical, with both the oil level and oil pressure lights? If it was just the wiring, can that really cause the oil pressure light to illuminate? I'm trying to get a clear picture before I potentially misdiagnose the source of the problem.

Yes, the oil pressure light was also illuminated in my case, which was quite unnerving. Honestly, I didn't want to risk anything, so I took it to a workshop. They confirmed it was a faulty connection. It might be worth getting it checked out by a professional, just to be safe.

I appreciate the advice! It seems like a trip to the workshop is the best course of action. I took your advice and brought the car to the workshop. It turned out to be a defective connector, just as you and they suspected. The total repair cost was 95€ including replacing the faulty sensor, which I think is reasonable. Thanks again for the help!

I understand your concern. I had a similar issue with my GLA a while back. The oil gauge was acting up, displaying incorrect levels, and triggering warning lights. Have you checked the connections to the oil sensor itself? Is there any visible damage to the wiring?
