GLC AC Compressor Issue

My 2020 Mercedes GLC, gasoline engine, is exhibiting an A/C compressor shut off at 224136 km. The HVAC system does not engage, and the air conditioning fails to cool. An error code related to undervoltage is present. I have checked the belt tensioner, and it appears normal. Has anyone experienced a similar issue? Is a refrigerant leak test or a pressure sensor check advisable before further investigation?

Sounds familiar. I had similar AC issues with my GLC. Before diving into refrigerant leaks and pressure switch problems, check the simple stuff. Is the compressor actually getting power? Might be a relay or fuse. A friend had the same problem and it was just a blown fuse.

Thank you for the input. Could you elaborate on the specific fuse location or relay involved in your case? A schematic reference would be appreciated, if available.

I don't have the schematic at hand, but honestly, after checking the fuses and relays, I still couldn't fix it myself. Eventually I took it to a workshop. They diagnosed it as a faulty pressure sensor, causing the compressor to shut down to protect itself.

Understood. Based on your experience, a professional diagnosis appears warranted. I appreciate the insight. The resolution was indeed related to undervoltage and cost 240€.
