Summary of the thread
A 2015 GLC is experiencing issues with its automatic temperature control system. The problem is likely due to a faulty interior temperature sensor, as indicated by error diagnostics. The suggested solution is to replace the sensor, which has resolved similar issues in other cases. The owner has decided to proceed with a sensor replacement at a workshop.

Thanks for the quick reply. I have checked the error memory and it indicates a faulty interior temperature sensor. Given that the automatic climate regulation is completely non-functional, and my limited experience, could it really be just a defective sensor? I've checked the cable and plug connection but didn't see anything obviously wrong.

Yes, that sounds very familiar. In my case, it was indeed the interior temperature sensor causing similar climate regulation problems. Given your error code and symptoms, it's highly likely. While you've checked the connection, a faulty sensor can still prevent the entire system from operating. I would recommend going to a workshop to proceed with the sensor replacement if you are not comfortable doing so yourself.

Thanks for confirming. Knowing that sensor replacement fixed your climate issues gives me confidence to proceed. I've booked an appointment at a workshop. They quoted 95€ for the sensor replacement, which seems reasonable. Appreciate the help!

I drive a GLC and experienced similar climate issues a while back. The symptoms you describe, especially the air conditioning not switching on and the error code, point towards a sensor issue. Have you checked the sensor diagnostics to pinpoint which one is failing?
