GLC Diesel Torque Converter Issue

Has anyone experienced torque converter failure with their automatic gearbox on a 2020 Mercedes GLC diesel? I've got slippage, unclean shifts, grinding noises, and error codes pointing to the converter. The workshop estimated a transmission repair cost of 2120€.

Converter failure sounds about right. I had similar symptoms on my GLC a while back. Was it more noticeable when accelerating at lower speeds? I'm just curious to know if it's the same thing I experienced.

Indeed, the symptoms are most pronounced during acceleration at lower speeds. Could you elaborate on your experience, particularly concerning the diagnostic process and the resolution of the torque converter problem?

Yes, the acceleration issue at lower speeds was exactly what I experienced. Ultimately, it turned out to be a complete converter failure. I'd suggest taking it to a reputable workshop for a proper diagnosis and transmission repair. Don't delay it, as it can cause further damage.
