GLC Error Code Nightmare Help

Yeah, it's a pain! I'll have to double-check the exact code when I get a chance. But what did you end up doing to fix yours? Was it actually a coding issue, or something else entirely?

Okay, so mine turned out to be a coding problem, yeah! It was weird. I tried a few things myself, but honestly, I just ended up taking it to a workshop. They sorted it out pretty quickly. I think they just re-flashed something. I wouldn't mess around with it too much yourself, you could make it worse. Better leave it to the pros in this case.

Thanks for the advice! I checked the code again and you were right, it's pointing towards a coding issue. I took it to the workshop as you suggested. Turns out the coding was indeed incorrect, they recoded it, and the error is gone. Cost me 360€, but at least it's fixed. Appreciate the help!

Mercedes X253 Year 4/2016, Carly only recognizes 15 control units during diagnosis, two years ago there were more than twice as many...why?

It's possible that the diagnostic tool or its software might need an update to properly communicate with all the control units. Ensure your Carly app and adapter are up-to-date. If the issue persists, try using a different diagnostic tool to see if it recognizes more control units. Let me know how it goes or if you have further questions!

Whoa, that sounds familiar! I had almost the exact same issue with my GLC. The error messages were driving me nuts! I also thought it was a coding thing. Did your diagnostic scanner give you a specific OBD-II code? Knowing that might help narrow things down. It's frustrating when the engine diagnostics light comes on isn't it?
