GLC Hybrid Engine Stalling

Given the symptoms described, prudent inspection of the ignition system is paramount. Precisely which ignition coil is flagged? Has the spark plug condition been evaluated? In instances such as these, coil failure may be attributable to secondary factors. A comprehensive vehicle diagnostics evaluation is necessary to ascertain the root cause.

While a definitive diagnosis necessitates firsthand inspection, the possibility of spark plug degradation contributing to coil stress cannot be discounted. A degraded spark plug increases the electrical resistance, compelling the ignition coil to operate under elevated stress conditions. Replacing the ignition coil without verifying the spark plug integrity risks recurrence of the problem. Proceeding directly to a workshop for a thorough examination is advisable. In my case, this approach proved to be judicious.

I will schedule an appointment with a reputable workshop for comprehensive vehicle diagnostics and assessment of both the ignition coil and spark plug. I had the ignition coil replaced and the connection repaired, which resolved the issue. The total repair cost was 95€.
