GLC oil level sensor issues

Yes, I checked the oil level with the dipstick, and it's fine. I've also visually inspected the wiring and the connector, but I didn't see any obvious damage. Is there a specific way to test the sensor or the wiring to pinpoint the problem? I don’t want to just start replacing parts without knowing for sure.

Without diagnostic equipment, further testing is difficult. If the wiring and connector appear intact, and the oil level is correct, the sensor itself is the most likely culprit. It could be an internal failure within the sensor. Given the symptoms and the potential for misinterpreting the warning lights, I would suggest consulting a qualified workshop. Continuing to drive with these warnings could potentially lead to more serious engine problems.

I took it to my local workshop, and they confirmed it was indeed the oil level sensor and a defective plug connection as you suspected. They replaced the sensor and repaired the connection for 95€. The error messages are gone, and the car runs smoothly again. I appreciate your insights!

A faulty oil level sensor can certainly cause those symptoms. Have you checked the wiring and connector to the sensor itself? A damaged cable or loose connection is a common culprit. Is the engine oil level actually correct when you check it manually with the dipstick, or is it low? Also, has the car had any recent car maintenance or repairs done?
