GLC Overvoltage Errors and Electrical Issues

My 2017 Mercedes GLC with a gasoline engine at 253794 km is throwing overvoltage errors and logging fault memory entries pointing to overvoltage I'm seeing system failures a weak battery and general electrical weirdness Is this a simple battery swap or a more complex electrical issue

I have a GLC and experienced something similar Was it the voltage regulator

When you say 'something similar' can you elaborate What symptoms did you experience and what ultimately fixed it I'm trying to avoid blindly throwing parts at the problem especially if it's something more subtle related to the car ECU or some obscure circuit protection issue causing the high voltage readings

The symptoms were alike I suggest you visit a workshop

Appreciate the confirmation and the advice Ended up taking it to a trusted shop Turns out my initial hunch was right – the battery was indeed heavily degraded and causing all sorts of havoc with the electrical system New battery installed and they also checked the voltage regulator to be sure Total cost was 290€ which isn't terrible All those overvoltage errors are gone now and the car is running like a champ Thanks again
