GLC Overvoltage Errors and Electrical Issues
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Mercedes GLC was experiencing overvoltage errors, system failures, and electrical issues, leading to concerns about whether it was a simple battery issue or a more complex electrical problem. The problem was identified as a heavily degraded battery, which was causing the electrical system malfunctions. After replacing the battery and checking the voltage regulator, the overvoltage errors were resolved, and the car returned to normal operation.

When you say 'something similar' can you elaborate What symptoms did you experience and what ultimately fixed it I'm trying to avoid blindly throwing parts at the problem especially if it's something more subtle related to the car ECU or some obscure circuit protection issue causing the high voltage readings

The symptoms were alike I suggest you visit a workshop

Appreciate the confirmation and the advice Ended up taking it to a trusted shop Turns out my initial hunch was right – the battery was indeed heavily degraded and causing all sorts of havoc with the electrical system New battery installed and they also checked the voltage regulator to be sure Total cost was 290€ which isn't terrible All those overvoltage errors are gone now and the car is running like a champ Thanks again
