GLE Driving Mode Error and Warning Signals
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Mercedes GLE owner experienced sporadic error messages related to driving mode selection, warning signals, and failures in audio and navigation systems, with control units occasionally shutting down. The issue was suspected to be caused by a defective cable connection to the BUS system. After inspecting the connections and consulting a workshop, a faulty connection was confirmed and repaired, resolving the warning signals.

Thanks for the response. When you had similar issues, did your scan tool point to specific error codes, or was it a more general communication fault? I want to make sure I'm not missing anything obvious before I dig deeper. Which connections did you check?

Honestly, I cannot recall the exact error codes. It was some time ago. But, yes, it presented as a general communication issue. I suggest taking it to a workshop. It will save you a lot of time.

Thanks for your input. I had the cable connections of the control unit inspected at a trusted workshop. A defective connection to the BUS system was identified. The repair cost was 155€. The warning signal is now gone. Thank you again for pointing me in the right direction.

I have a GLE too, and I had similar problems a while back. I kept getting random warning signals and my control module seemed to be acting up. Have you checked the connections thoroughly?
