GLK Diesel Ignition Problem

When you say main relay switch are we talking about the one in the engine compartment fuse box And when you checked the voltage were you looking for a specific range I'm wondering if the circuit break is somewhere else completely, and the power supply to the relay is the issue rather than the relay itself

Yep, the one in the engine compartment fuse box Think of it like the master on/off switch for the whole ignition system And yeah, definitely check the voltage against the specs in your owner's manual or online If it's not within the specified range, it could indicate a bad battery, a faulty alternator, or even a short somewhere Honestly, after messing with it for a while, I just took it to a workshop Saved me a ton of headache and probably prevented me from frying something important

Thanks for the insights I did end up taking it to the workshop, and you were right about the relay switch Turns out it was corroded, causing a poor connection and voltage drop 95€ later, she's purring like a kitten again I appreciate you sharing your experience

That sounds super familiar I had a similar problem with my GLK not too long ago The engine wouldn't crank, and the error codes were all over the place It was like trying to find a needle in a haystack, but the needle was made of electricity Did you check the main relay switch That's where I started, and it turned out to be the culprit You mentioned a voltage drop have you put a multimeter on the battery to see what it's actually pushing out
